Golden Shower

The Golden Shower is the colloquialism of the swinging lifestyle to describe Watersports or to give it its technical term ‘urolagnia’. This is basically watching a partner urinate or partners urinating on each other. Its not as simple and straight forward as it sounds. It’s not just about letting it all go over someone’s head or genitals. For instance there are such methods of golden showering as ‘The log in the Amazon’ and the ‘Fountain of Venus’ but I’ll describe them in greater detail later. To begin to understand why Watersports is such a taboo and classed as dirty as opposed to a natural bodily function where sterile fluid is released we first need to look into the psychology and society itself.

Why is Watersports seen as wrong?

As we develop into adults we accumulate various do’s and don’ts throughout our childhood. As our minds begin to develop and question things and we begin to think for ourselves, we also begin to question certain taboos and don’ts that we were taught along the way without sufficient explanation. We are taught not to look at somebody carrying out his or her ablutions for fear we may catch sight of their genitalia. Genitals are essential for sexual acts and also sex acts are viewed as rude or dirty. What this actually does is create a taboo out of an innocent act and therefore as we begin to experiment we look at taboos as a source of potential pleasure. Part of the attraction is getting excitement from that which we know is wrong which can produce adrenalin in abundance, which is an amazingly powerful hormone. Prior to being socially conditioned to think a totally natural act is taboo our inner self probably saw it as essential and unashamed. Rediscovering this part of our inner self can also be a very powerful emotion too. Those who have overcome this taboo of Watersports merely experience a warm, wet sensation of totally natural origin while those who are still attempting to overcome it get pleasure from breaking the taboo.

Once this taboo is broken do Watersports become less exciting than when it was a forbidden fruit?

Well, in short no. The taboo has been broken and a whole new attitude can bring a whole new load of possibilities to a person’s sex life. It isn’t just a psychological pleasure; it is also a physical pleasure. There is the argument that urine smells. This is true to a certain degree but mainly because a small percentage of us actually drink the recommended amount of water we should drink to be totally healthy. Also its not just water we drink. We drink tea, coffee, alcohol and various other fluids that can all add to the aroma of our urine. The answer is more water and more fruit juice as nature intended. The odour of our urine can be an indicator of poor health and recently our canine friends have been used to sniff urine to detect cancerous cells!

So what exactly do urolagniacs do with their urine once the taboo is broken?

Some simply hold their urine for as long as possible to create a full bladder. If a woman drinks a large amount about an hour prior to sex it can heighten the sensations experienced due to a full bladder pushing the various parts of the whole vaginal area out ward leaving less room for accommodating any intrusion and therefore making the smallest of movements more instant. They hold the urine until the point of orgasm than let everything go at once. Then there are of course the various recognised techniques to Watersports.

The Cataracts of the Nile is simply a man forcefully urinating onto a woman’s clitoris as she masturbates.

The Log in the Amazon is the woman forcefully urinating up and down the length of a man’s penis as he is about to cum.

The Watering of the Oak Tree is a woman with a full bladder inserting a mans penis into her vagina and instead of moving up and down or back and forth she simply urinates.

The Fountain of Venus is a woman lying on her back with a full bladder and legs akimbo. Her partner, be they male or female performs oral sex until the point of orgasm and continues as the bladder is totally emptied.

So watersports are not unhealthy or dangerous?

Providing that the participants are in good health then yes it is but two things are worth bearing in mind here. Firstly holding urine for too long may cause an infection in the bladder and even damage to the bladder itself.

Secondly urine can carry many infections and diseases such as Hepatitis and may on the odd very, very rare occasion carry the HIV virus if an infection is sufficient enough to allow blood into the urinary system.

In short watersports or urolagnia can be a liberating and enjoyable experience as long as certain precautions are followed and the safety of everyone concerned remains of paramount importance.
